Born and raised in Kansas City, Missouri, Pastor Williams and his lovely wife Brenda have two wonderful sons Eric ll and Joshua. They have a vested interest in building a solid community where children can flourish. The Kansas City Royals and the National Fathering Center named Pastor Williams Father of the Year in 1999.
As chief servant of the Calvary Temple Baptist Church, Pastor Williams views ministry as an opportunity to be used by God to bring healing to a hurting world. His vision for ministry mirrors Matthew 9:36. Jesus saw the multitudes and he was moved with compassion on them, because they fainted, and were scattered abroad, as sheep having no shepherd.
“The church has a definite role in evangelism.” According to Pastor Williams, “Our task is to present Christ to people in an effort to bring them to true relationship with Him. As our relationship with Christ flourishes, the total society benefits.”
An outspoken advocate for less the fortunate, Rev. Williams is a strong community leader.
He has been a powerful voice for persons living with HIV/AIDS in the Kansas City area. As Chairman of the Black Church Week of Prayer for the Healing of AIDS, Reverend Williams has been successful in garnering the support of many faith community leaders and members of their congregations to join in the fight against HIV/AIDS.
Pastor Williams is a dynamic expository preacher and anointed singer. Many lives have been changed as the Spirit of God moves though the ministry the Calvary Temple Baptist Church.
